-My favorite part of visiting the east coast, is the abundant presence of Northern Cardinals. Wether its the striking crimson red plumage, the beautiful distinctive call, or just the plain fact that we don’t have them anywhere west of the Mississippi. This iconic bird has become one of my all time favorite species! This individual here was photographed in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.
