-Grizzly 399, arguably the most famous grizzly bear of all time. Photographed here in 2020, she miraculously gave birth to 4 cubs at the age of 24 years old. At the age of 28, she was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle south of Jackson, Wyoming. In her 28 years of life, she successfully reared 22 cubs and grand cubs. I will forever be grateful for the one close encounter I was blessed with to be able to get this shot.
